Rob Little’s outlook on life can be summed-up in two words: Pure Optimism. Rob’s ability to see things in a positive light, coupled with his desire to make people laugh, has served him well. While working in a lucrative position as a computer programmer for IBM, he decided to take a huge risk. The Detroit-born comic sent out an ALL-company e-mail that read, “If you aren’t happy here, quit your job and follow your dream.” Which is exactly what he did! He now enjoys an incredibly successful career as a stand-up comedian along with an impressive and growing portfolio.
Having established himself as one of the funniest, most progressive, comedians in the country, it’s easy to understand why The Detroit Free press selected him as the “Best up and Coming Comedian,” and he was selected as a feature performer at the Chicago and Boston Comedy Festivals. Rob was excited to be named Budweiser’s “Real Man of Comedy”. Last Comic Standing on NBC named him, “The Happiest Comic in America”. Campus Activities Magazine named him “College Comic of the Year” and Maxim Magazine named him “Comedian of the Year”.
Little uses his training from the world famous Second City Improv Comedy Club to create routines that are inventive, funny, spontaneous, and completely unique. A sketch comedy player on the Fox Sports Net Show, “The Best Damn Sports Show Period”, Comedy Central’s “Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time” and “Last Call with Carson Daly.” He headlines clubs, colleges, cruises, and corporate events all over the country. He has appeared in national television commercials and on such shows as Comedy Central’s “Distraction,” and SiTV’s “Latino Laugh Festival.” Rob was also the $25,000 winner of the CBS network summer hit reality show, “Fire me Please.”
Acclaimed singer, songwriter and entertainer Jen Porter has been called one of the hardest working women in her industry. She has been performing upbeat, energy-filled live shows for over two decades. She began performing professionally in her college years, working in an original band, a cover band, and a wedding band. She moved back to Chicago and quickly made a name for herself in bars and clubs in and around the third largest city in the country. She still performs at iconic locations such as Redhead Piano Bar downtown and Slugger’s Dueling Pianos next to Wrigley Field. Additionally, Jen is honored to be a resident singer of the National Anthem for MLB’s Chicago White Sox since 2007.
Jen quickly expanded from her hometown to performing at several locations throughout the United States, as well as on several enviable islands in the Caribbean and multiple countries in Europe. She enjoys residencies at several locations like Aruba, St. Maarten and Amsterdam. She also continues to steadily write and record original songs, boasting 5 albums under her belt, available on all major streaming services.
Critics often compare her live-show energy to that of Janis Joplin, her piano stylings and voice to Natalie Merchant, and the intensity of her songwriting to Fiona Apple. Her fourth album, “Closer to the Surface” was released to enthusiastic reviews. Andy Downing of the Chicago Tribune says, “[Porter’s] voice swing[s] between striking moments of intimacy and tornadic outbursts, while her piano . . . matches each emotional surge lockstep.”
